Fulham Co. and Tvilight Collaborate on the World’s First Intelligent Integrated Wireless Outdoor LED Driver

The breakthrough solution to accelerate the path to Smart Cities

Frankfurt am Main, Germany – Today, Fulham Co., a leading supplier of lighting components and electronics for commercial and vertical applications, demonstrated the world’s first networked outdoor LED driver with an integrated functionality of SkyLite, the intelligent wireless lighting controller pioneered by Tvilight, a Dutch high-tech company and a European market leader in sensors, wireless controls and lighting management software. The revolutionary product will reduce installation complexity and minimize infrastructure maintenance costs, catalyze the roll-out of networked lighting, significantly lower the return on investment, and ultimately speed up our path to Smart Cities.

The new Fulham intelligent outdoor driver builds on SkyLite, industry-leading wireless outdoor lighting controller from Tvilight that enables the creation of large-scale citywide connected lighting and Smart City platforms with a potential to integrate a multitude of applications.

The combination of Fulham wireless LED drivers with a real-time broadband mesh network from Tvilight enables cities, utilities, system integrators, airport/railway operators and other parties to capitalize on the Internet of Things technologies while reducing their energy footprint and creating a livable environment for the citizens. Operational savings can be reinvested into future Smart City applications to be integrated directly into the intelligent lighting network. By doing this, clients can benefit from applications for air quality monitoring, smart traffic lights, real-time energy demand response, citywide beacon platforms and more.

Thanks to the SkyLite IoT architecture, the intelligent LED driver will be offering advanced cloud-management and health monitoring of the entire connected lighting infrastructure. Furthermore, it will be possible to set the output current of the LED driver remotely, which would reduce errors, improve lamp lifetime, and simplify installation and maintenance of the infrastructure. These options will be available thanks to CityManager, management software from Tvilight. Besides this, the new Fulham driver will incorporate advanced astro-clock functionality, which will enable it to adapt to local sunset/sunrise times and seasonal changes, thereby replacing traditional photocells.
